We offer Class 3b Laser therapy. This is a form of low level laser therapy (LLLT). Also known as cold laser therapy. These are not surgical lasers that are capable of cell destruction.

The term laser is an acronym for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.

Laser therapy increases cell activity and growth to a treated area, helping to speed up healing and reduce inflammation.

It can be used to treat inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and soft tissue injuries such as cruciate ligament injuries and tendinitis.

We also have great results with improved wound healing using laser therapy.

The laser increases endorphins which act as the bodies natural pain killer, therefore can be beneficial in pain management, especially useful if a patient can't have specific drugs.

Some of our hydrotherapy patients have laser treatment alongside aquatic exercise and other patients have laser as a stand alone treatment.

It can be used as a course of treatment, or can be used long term, depending on the patients response to treatment.
